Mai schnaufend und pumpend um die Ecke. Through The Middle tönt frisch wie eine Jam Session in Nashville. Nicht weiter überraschend, denn genauso wurde der Track aufgenommen. Basierend auf einem eigens aufgenommenen Old School Drum Loop dreht sich alles um die Bassline, die mit nicht weniger als 996 Sechzehntel durch den Song treibt. Das verstaubte aber zeitlose Fender Rhodes Piano wechselt sich perkussiv mit der bluesig-funkigen Fender Gitarre ab. Voilà, der Groove ist eingetütet und sitzt verdammt tief im Hosensack, wo sich sonst nur Fusel vom Tumbler befinden. Dreckig, ehrlich, kompromisslos: Through the middle!
